Frustrated

Still tearing my hair out at the frustrating slow speed of our broadband connection since changing providers. It is so painful and often loses connection altogether. New provider have now acknowldeged that there is a problem with the line, but we still have to wait to the end of the 10 day settling in period before they will send an engineer out.
At least we have now been able to book an appointment for them to come out in the middle of the week. I know the mysteries of the ethernet are extremely complicated and I should be grateful that we now have all these modern technolgies, but sometimes....
......... it feels more trouble than it is worth.

Just to add to my frustrations, Saturday night weigh in was a disaster.
Only lost 1 lb, I could put that back on this week, just by drinking a cup of tea, so it doesn't really count. Clearly, those two chocolate finger biscuits and slices of lemon drizzle cake, oh and maybe the plastic prawn toasts, didn't help. Must do much better this week!! Perhaps I should stop eating altogether?! Hmm, not sure I can manage that!

Here's hoping this post will upload properly!

Lots of Love Arwedd xx

  1. By losing a pound in weight you have had to eat 3,500 calories LESS this week than last week, so I say WELL DONE!!!
    Don't beat yourself up.
Take small steps - if you had lost a stone, you'd be more worried!!
One pound a week will STAY off.
    Keep on keeping on.
At least you know you can lose weight AND have a couple of little treats in your week, which must feel amazing. x x x x x

    1. It's kind of you, but personally I'm quite depressed with that!!

Definitely up for that long walk, just as long as we steer clear of the cliffs. I've already proved I'm rubbish with temptation.

  2. Slow and steady wins the race. I spent about 30 years either yo-yo dieting or just being very overweight. You name the diet and I've done it - including living on one bowl of branflakes a day for several weeks - the weight fell off but went back twice as quickly and I ended up heavier than I was before! Then I lost 35 lbs in weight and dropped several dress sizes in a year. I've kept it off because I changed my eating habits but didn't 'diet' and didn't cut out any foods.Don't get disheartened by a smaller weight loss than you wanted.

    1. Hmm, there's slow and there's slower than a geriatric slug on a salted snowed-in street, but thanks for the encouragement. It is truly appreciated.
